Just kind of starting this and welcome comments and constructive criticism

Shot with a Nikon 7200 and Tamron 16-300 at a local strip mall that contains a large Asian market and long with a laundromat and several Asian restaurants. I was outside waiting for my wife and of course had my camera with me.

The third from top (outside waiting for my wife) could have made a good shot, making it into portrait by cropping from the edge of the trash bin on left to the car aerial on right. Unfortunately its not as sharp as it could be.

You have some good ideas, but It looks to me like none of the shots are tack sharp, which suggests hand holding at high mm or an attempt at low ISO. With a physically large lens it's also difficult to be stealth. I did like the shot of the 3 women and if you had focused on the woman in the foreground (viewer side of the door) it would have made a real nice shot.

This type of photography seems easier than it is. I like your ideas; but you need to be a bit more careful with the details. The shot of the two women would be much better if the woman in the foreground were the one in focus. Try a shorter lens and see how that works for you . When I go out to shoot street shots, I use an old Yashica twin lens film camera. I can shoot from the waist and people don't always notice that I'm taking their photo. The camera is also a conversation starter because you don't see them every day. Not saying you should buy a different camera; but using a shorter lens might work out for you.

Thanks for the input - just got a nikon 50 1.8g lens yesterday for exactly that purpose and can't wait to try it out.
