The Lamp Lady revealed ... Stef!
There is an old barn, not far from me, where Stef and I first worked together. I am posting four of my favorite images from the set. I'm not sure it's our best work but I will let the images speak for themselves.
It was near dusk when we shot inside. I lit the room with a a speedlight sitting at knee height off camera - camera right and if I remember correctly, I had a second speedlight striking the back wall to kill help shadows. ...... I think that was the set up. I don't remember if I used any umbrellas or not. I think not...
Disclaimer: I did not edit the three white tee shirt images. I actually had those done by a professional re-toucher. My Photoshop skills then, as well as now, have a lot to be desired.
I do recommend Cassi if anyone is interested. >>>

I love Old barns. Thanks for sharing your lighting tips. A very refreshing new view.

Nicely done. It demonstrates that a small - and portable - lighting setup can do wonders!
Stef certainly has great assets as a model. The first photo could be with some teeth. I like the background.

To me, the face looks unreal - too much makeup. Other than that is OK
#4 has that '50s pin-up vibe, very nicely done.
Thanks for the comments!
The old barn was used in a Tom Cruise movie when he played a NASCAR driver ... It's really run down now
If I remember, Stef was wearing braces at the time, so there may have been a hesitation to smile large
Yes to the assets, makeup and hair too. Her hair style changes, as does many full/pt time models.
I had not considered the pin-up style but I see that now.
Thanks for the feedback!
Photos are very good quality, technically and creatively. The real standout tho is Stef. Some models have a certain hard to define quality that makes them great. When you see it, you know it. Keep shooting and posting with this lady, she's terrific.
You and Stef turned out a terrific set!!!
Thank you for your comments... Yes.....Stef is a stand-out model!
I am posting a second series of work of her in a few minutes.
thanks
John
Good work John! Stef is a great looking model and appears to be a natural in front of the camera. You're a lucky man to work with this beauty! Look forward to more photos of Stef!
Why would you want to put a lamp shade over that beautiful face?
Have not seen you for a while. Would love to see more of your zipper girl. I believe her name is Kristi
