The American White Pelicans are back!

There has been a pretty large flock - about 80 or 90 - of white pelicans at the wetlands for the past week. Pretty exciting, but hopefully they won't eat all the fish.

Fantastic series, Steve! The first spring I witnessed them, I got a blurry long distant shot like #3. Fascinating to see them seemingly driving the fish towards the shore.

Silly Pelicans are one of my favorites so I really enjoyed this set. The sunset shot is exquisite!

Thanks, Carol! The sunsets lately at the wetlands are awesome also because just to the right of where I was standing to take that photo were about 500 to 1,000 grackles settling in for the night - it was VERY noisy, and as they started arriving I had to look around for Alfred Hitchcock!
