After many more hours of hard labour (all thoroughly enjoyable!), I have settled on the these two versions. For those who looked at it the first time round, there have been many more elements added and the whole now represents nearly all the places visited during our holiday, from Lands End to Mevigissey and The Lizard, Goonhilly and Eden Project to The Lost Gardens, Mullion Cove, Mousehole and Botallick. Hope you enjoy the tour - and please feel free to comment, critique and suggest, and thanks for doing so.

Totally wonderful. I've spent a long time enjoying the details. Thank you for sharing this. Love the stuff you've added since the last version, especially the painter!

I sure hope you're going to print this as humongous billboard-size (well, maybe poster size) and hang! A super-delightful work of art, Dave. Something to be very, very proud of.

Is this in Photoshop layers? If yes, what is file size before flattening?

The catchphrase, I don't like it I Love it applies to this artful piece of work reflecting your assembly of photos into one interesting concept.

Glad you enjoyed looking Min. I did try to add a texture (which I know you would have liked to see), but just couldn't come up with anything that felt suitable. There is a little added texture over the main rock composite, but its unnoticeable really. Do you have any suggestions?

Well, I will print it, just got to put the new cartridges in the printer and see if I can get the settings the way I want them!
There are 66 layers, 43 of which are groups consisting two or more adjustment layers. The psd file is just over 500Mb. I estimate I spent three days putting it together.
Minnie pushed me a while back into thinking more about the 'plan' for a composite, and it helped a lot this time. I also forced myself to keep proper track of the layers, naming each and creating groups. That also helped, especially if something strange suddenly popped into view that wasn't meant to be there - I could quickly identify the culprit and remove.

Thanks for your comments Linda.

How clever are you? Very. I suggest you write a children's book to go with the photo. It is quite different and I like it a lot.

Completely weird; love it. And a unique way to combine your travels (I recognise some of the bits in there). Seeing you have gone to so much trouble with this, to me, I think it would be lifted a little if the sky and background hills were just a little darker. So much detail in there; it would make a great mural to stand and ponder over, well done.

Hello Heather, thanks for looking in, hope that Christmas trip to Salisbury went well.
Glad you like my efforts - but I'm afraid you will have to write the book, I'll illustrate it!

Nice to know you recognise some parts Paul, I tried to use elements that represented the area.
Funnily enough, I went to a lot of trouble to lighten the background in order that the main subject stand-out! Easy enough to adjust though, now the masks are created.
Many thanks for for commenting, it's appreciated.
