Walgreens v CVC for Photo Printing
They're all I have available locally. Anyone have experience with either? Please advise.
Used both, didn't like either one.
Love Costco! Great customer service and outstanding work!

If you have invested in quality camera equipment, invested time in learning how to use it correctly, invested more time in post processing work.... why would you send your pictures to a sub-par printer?
Use a quailty lab for your quailty work. Snapshots are all that should be sent to CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Target, etc.
(of course this is only my opinion)
I agree with Mom - why why why???
Mom is right on as always
I have used Walgreens extensively and never been disappointed. They also have frequent specials and once or twice a year do something called "Seven Days of Deals" in which every day there is a 24-hour special. It always includes a free 8x10. I also have a photo necktie and barbeque apron I bought from Walgreens.com. The service was good and fast.
That said, Walgreens is 1/2 mile from home and Costco is 2 miles away. Costo's prints are much less expensive and every bit as good. So I use Walgreens for convenience, but if I want some major work done, go to Costco. I think they both offer mail service, so location and distance might not be too big a factor.
I've been very happy with Walgreens.
My experience with CVS was not good. The convenience of uploading online, response time, etc., was awesome. The color of the photos did not turn out true. I got much better results with my own printer. I haven't tried Walgreen's yet!

CVS is really bad quality...
I have only used Target but the results were more than acceptable. 4x6, 5x7 and 8x10 have all been fine in my opinion. The price is good also.
I always use a small private printing company that I was told about. They are great cz I had no idea of paper weights etc. and they took me into the print room and showed me the different weights and explained everything to me, qualities and types such as matte, gloss how they would look, etc. They then asked me exactly how I wanted the prints to look so we went to the Mac and we worked that out as well. Next they ran off eight different prints which we took outside to check in natural light as well as inside lighting. I had just over 100 photo's printed off for an exhibition i was holding and they only charged me £100 for heavy weight paper on A4 and A3 sizes of which about 3/4s were on A3, full colour on matte paper. That is the sort of service I want for professional prints. They also said that if I wasn't satisfied with any of the prints they would re print free of charge. Far better than your generic shop/store printer who really doesn't care about your precious work.
I go to Walgreens. They made some prints for me that I wanted to enter in our county fair. Picked them up and when I looked at them I said "this is not acceptable.........look at the skin tone. Please do them over". The manager was summoned and he agreed with me 100%. They redid them and they were ready in a short time. They looked great. I've been more than happy with them.
Try Costco if they have the right people working there they can do surprising work.
Be sure to tell them to turn off automatic correction or the equptment will alter waht you give them. Let me know how it works.
You'd be surprised how many Pros. use there service.
