The flower and the background complement each other nicely.

Just stunning in all aspects...
I like this a lot. I like the bold colors of the flower and the background-they compliment each other. I also love the perfection of the flower-unblemished but with natural curves and variations of the petals. I also like that it is focused throughout. A very appealing capture for me.
Nice Stack. With that much detail I would go the extra mile and clean up the flower.

You're right. All I can offer as an excuse is that with all of the mushrooms I've been looking it I never even noticed the imperfections until now.
Hope to see more of the mushrooms, love the textures

Nice picture overall but I love the lighting. How was it done?

Thanks.
My wife does volunteer work at a thrift shop and they throw away lots of stuff such as colored plastic and colored paper. The plastic for this picture was lit from a kitchen window (higher and to the right). Duplicate the layer, rectangular selection, feather and delete. Multiply mode and reduce the opacity.
Or one can use Color Efex Pro 4 (Darken/Lighten Center).
For this screen capture I used a color fill. Note the banding.
