Hey all, I've been away for a while ... had to help my mom sell our apartment building in San Diego, then she decided to move to Nashville to be closer to us, then the holidays, etc., etc. ...
Anyway, this is my first creation for 2017. It's a composite and digital painting of a couple of older pics I shot. The tiger is my original, unretouched pic from Disney World and the Carolina Chickadee (which I repainted as a green tailed sun bird) is from an old fence post in my back yard. Everything else is painted in PS CC 2017 on my Wacom INTUOS Pro. I love to use my original photos to create something much more dynamic and creative.
Be sure and check the download to see the detail ...
I'm in agreement with Jim. Very nice work.

Thank you Frank, I do appreciate your kind thoughts! I really liked how this turned out as well. In fact, I'm going to create a small series of these tigers in the near future. My wife likes it so much, she is going to have it framed for our living room — which is really saying something. ;-)
Love everything about this, Don: the bright colors of the animals, muted background, sun rays, small details such as water dripping from the tiger's fur - mesmerizing work!

It is such a pleasure to have you as a UHH member and display your work with us. I can't think of a word that would describe a person who falls above the term, Professional if there were such a term I feel it would apply to you, and your work.
This is an excellent example of bringing out exceptional beauty from an unexceptional starting point.
aw man, love those colors - such a fun/alive image!

First, welcome back, we are always excited to see what you're working on! Your complex creations are always an inspiration to those of us who aspire to take photographs into another realm.
If and when your life settles down, maybe you can share some steps with us about how you did this? I find it pretty amazing in the detail you've managed to create. PS is an amazing tool set and most of us never scratch the surface of what is possible.
Truly amazing. Just so stunning. Wow!
