Good news for those dying in NY State after Jan 1, 2017. After you die, you can no longer be charged an early cancellation fee by cell phone providers.

Thank God for that. I was losing sleep over that issue. I didn't want to get into trouble.

Don't do it in NYC. They will chase you through the gates of hell for a $50 parking fine.

Yet another example of unreasonable government regulation.

The phone company doesn't tell you that you need to give them 90 days notice prior to dying.

Let's face it, We have come to the place where nearly all is "Unreasonable" about our government. It has become downright "REVOLTING". Sign me up for the "revolution"

But they will still charge that fee to your closest surviving relative.

Really? Regulations preventing abuse of consumers by business are unreasonable? I think most Americans would disagree. Most Americans WANT banking regulation, for example, and almost all Americans want clean air and clean water regulations. We need to be protected from the unmitigated greed of those with power.

Then moving to NY should be on your bucket list. Nice to be able to stiff the phone company

Here's the retardation of NY. And how does that cell phone company expect to get you to pay that cancellation fee if you are dead? What do they do, rob you from the grave? Liberal moronism just never ceases.
