While on a cruise, we stopped in Kusadasi to tour Ephesus, an ancient Greek city on the coast of Ionia. There we took in The Library of Celsus, Temple of Hedrian, the Ephesus archaeological museum and the House of Virgin Mary.

Wonderful photos displaying this beautiful architecture. What is the classification of this architecture?
It displays a combination of Ionic and Corinthian in the column tops but no fluted columns.

Excellent shots and a fantastic place to visit,the whole area is spectacular and when we went they where still digging for ruins.

Beautiful captures of these ruins. Ruins hardly seems like a fitting description for these beautiful structures. They must have been incredible in their days of glory.

Nice shots of the ancient ruins. Reminds me of our wonderful trip there in the 1980s.

We might have been on the same cruise. Start in Venice and disembark in the port city of Rome. Ours a few years ago. Great pictures. Much better than the ones I took of the same structure.

Extremely fine photos! I visited the site in 2006 but didn't get into the building.
