This lens is a FF lens but works equally well, if not better, on a DX crop sensor body. It is a budget FF lens that works well in the 70-200mm range but does get soft in the 225mm to 300mm range. Light weight, reasonably fast focusing in good light and the VR works well, again in good light. I have used this lens on several different Nikon DX bodies for the last 8 years and have enjoyed the lens' capabilities under good lighting conditions. At $335.00 including both caps and hood, IMO represents good value with an E+ rating from KEH. Enjoy!!
