Cold cloudy day (15 degrees) when I took this photo of a European Starling eating some popcorn in our front yard.
The bird was about 20 feet away.

I used 560mm. Hand held.

Canon 5Dsr - Canon 400 II DO f4 - Canon 1.4x III - 1/640 - f/9 - ISO @ 1000.

Way to go, Regis. Once again you have hit it out of the park. You have made even a lowly starling into a prince. I love your work with whatever combo of camera and lens you use. Thanks for sharing.

Very good image of the starling, sharp and good colors, something different. Or is it a punk rock eagle who got a nose job?

Popcorn! You fed perfectly good popcorn to the birds?

We ate the larger and softer popcorn and there were the little ones that might break my teeth, so I put those in a dish in our front yard.
The birds wasted no time eating the left-over popcorn.

Thank you very much, Robert.

Thank you very much, WayneT. The sunshine bounced off our snow to highlight the feather colors.
