I was able to work with Ed Scube, a local professional photographer on a group shoot at a local studio on New Years Day. I learned a lot from this talented artist, and I hope you enjoy the results.

I like the play of light & dark, but I can't help but feel that it's too low key (muddy). Maybe 1 or 2 stops more exposure to give a little more body to the photo. (Unless, of course, this is exactly what the pro was teaching; then it's great! 🙄)

I agree Mike. I was learning something new, and was following what a seasoned professional was teaching.

You should be able to fix it editing, I think. Play with them & have fun!

Often up loads do not do well what was good on my monitor is not same on UHH. But the idea is a good one... and it is hard to control just a hint of color/light-dark ... thank you for sharing the idea.

I like these, as they have a lot of potential, with appropriate processing. The interaction of the human form with the appropriate lighting can produce some very intriguing images.

I agree with rmalarz and others who say that a bit more processing might lead to great images. For image #1, crop or edit out the bright blobs at the top-left corner; they serve no purpose, especially not when seeing the others in the series. As for the series, #1 (after removal of the blobs) is my favourite.

You have a right idea but your lighting is a little off. You should fade the light more on the body.

I personally don't care for low key shots.

I like these pix. I do agree that they "should" be opened a bit. And I think the background in #4 is irrelevent and could be cloned out. Also, #3 is kinda hard to understand....at least for me. I love the contours and sensuality.
