Welcome to Day 151 :) Today is all about Travel .. Your Dream Vacation .. I was really stressing about this one today and I almost changed it. I wasn't sure how I was going to be able to show y'all what my dream vacation would be. After all I live in the desert .. and I wasn't sure how I would be able to photograph where I'd like to go ... so I figured I just better get creative and learn to not be so literal. So here is what I came up with. I look forward to seeing what your dream vacation will be.

My dream vacation would definitely involve one of these .. big enough for all 7 of us (and as long as I'm dreaming ... 50mpg would be awesome LOL)


Just hit the road .. no plans just a map


There are so many places in the US I'd love to photograph


Stop in a bunch of small towns


Take in a couple flea markets or maybe an auction or two


If I'm lucky maybe catch some wildlife


Perhaps some awesome historical architecture


We'd lose total track of time


There is so much beauty everywhere


Around every corner there is a photo waiting to happen

This is going to be a tough one. I once wanted to move to Yuma, Arizona. Of course I have no photos. I hope to some day make it to England. Always thought Isreal would be interesting. I love Virginia, the Blue Ridge Mountains.I was in Florida when I was in the 6th grade. Would like to go to Vermont in the fall.Lots of dreaming.

Back..my computer had a bad hair day and my friendly neighbourhood geek dropped by anf gave it a new permanent.

I have no dream trip, because I have lived dream trips. This is not in anyway a pretentious thing but all my life I have traveled and it has been a way of life for nearly 70 years. My parents hauled me around and taught me how simple it is to travel and how cheap we can do it and I've been doing it ever since. One time we left here for San Francisco, strictly a back-and-forth trip but on our way back we wound up in the stockyards of Ft. Worth... did I mention cheap travel? 47 nights out, $51.00 for sleeping overnight.

I know wires are no-no's but in this one I like them because they give a sense DOF and also a certain degree of the ride downhill








Spent a week camping with friends. Each day they'd go their way, we'd go ours and atsupper and in the evening we would share our day




They eat lobster there like we eat potatoes....the supply is never ending

When I got older I took to the air

Bikes sez ye? Seven years in a row we did cycletouring. Canada, U.S., France, Belgium, Germany and Holland. Also biked the Champagne Route and the Wine Route in France and I biked all over the Black Forest.

It's like the Garden Path..pick as many flowers as you want.

Honeymooned and learn to dive in AUSTRALIA
Flew threw the trees in Costa Rica
Rode a bicycle down MT Haliakala
motorcycle ITALIA
and just got back from ISRAELIA (well had to make it rhyme)

BUT no matter where I go...up so high
and down so low
there is one thing for sure I know

THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE HOME

Naturally as all travelers, we could spend the day telling stories, many not publishable on here...LOL

Well that does remind me of a visit to Costa Rico where a friendly Tico offered us his apt for the night and he went to stay with a friend. When we woke up in the morning we wanted showers...couldnt figure out how to get the hot water running (we knew their where switches somewhere but couldnt fine em).....When our friend came home and we asked he told us he did not use hot water for his showers and as a result DIDNT HAVE ANY.

and you are right some stories are better left untold but this one is fine.
