UHH'ers,

Happy New Year to you and yours!

How would one either save a PDF file to Word Doc or JPG so I can erase/edit the file for use in training?

Thanks
Dave

There are online tools, free downloads, and paid programs capable of doing it - sometimes. Some can handle locked PDF's, some can't.

I agree, but this is a one-shot deal, probably would not use this feature more than twice....and I cannot see paying $14/$15 month for the service.

Thanks for the reply however.

Al Beatty, yes, I have been able to do as you did with the PDF file OK.
However, the DOC file would not let me save it as a JPG file. This is what I need to work with to erase portions and text.

Thanks for the reply though!

If you just need to keep the original, then make a copy and rename it [filename]-Original.pdf or something of the sort.

Was in you neck of the woods on New Years Eve for a wedding. Caldwell, KS almost on the OK line.

Cheers.

BobH;

Yes, you were close to my location in KS.
Just a "hop-skip-and-jump" into Oklahoma while in Caldwell!!

Thanks for the info in the PDF file!

ImageMagick will convert a pdf to an image file. Gnu license, free download.

DirtFarmer: Thanks for the name of the software.
I've just looked at the software; it looks complicated and yet powerful!
Have you used the ImageMagick before?
If so, what was the conversions you were doing?

Interesting!!

Thanks agian

Also, if you have access to Adobe Acrobat Pro CS6 (at least), when the pdf is open in the program go to File->Save As->Image and you will be presented with 4 choices: jpeg, jpeg2000, tiff, and png. Just though you might want to know.

I use it occasionally. Mostly for conversions between image formats. A lot of Postscript to image conversions. (As I recall, that also needs GhostScript or GhostView).
