Just started playing with Black and White and really enjoying it. Looking for constructive criticism. They were shot with a Nikon 7200 and a Tamron 16-300. They were done in Adobe ACR and Photoshop and the 1st two were also done with a new toy NIK silver effects.
Not sure if I should've made the jpegs smaller or not. I exported them as actual size.
Thanks
Of the three, I like the last one the better of all. I'm glad you found that black and white is a liking to you. Keep up the work.

I like that one the most and didn't use NIK on it since I was happy the way it came out of PS. I am least moved by the middle one but didn't have many to choose from. I like the first one also which I did use NIK for and used some of the tone adjustments for it.
Thanks for the feedback

I enjoyed 1 and 3 skornfeld.
I like the composition of #1 very much. You might find that after posting to UHH, they look a little dark or have less contrast than you saw in your editor (at least that's what happens to me, lol).
I wonder if you've considered a crop on the last? For me the star is the large, snow covered tree, so the brightened branches on the right kind of distract me. Also there is a smudge-looking (or fog-like) area above the road; can't tell if it's from trying to lighten in pp, or something in the original shot.
Below is a link to a UHH topic from last year that you might enjoy for ideas on subject matter. Black and white photography was my first love, and there are folks on this site (including rmalarz above!) whose images are bound to inspire you.

In #3 that was mist hanging in the air. Thanks for the comments and will look up those topics.
I really enjoyed exploring these shots. I particularly like the composition of both 1 and 3. In one the tree shadows give nice texture to the road and in three you have a path or road disappearing into the woods. It makes me want to follow to see where it goes.
Nice work on these--numbers one and three are my picks. I think one might be better if you'd darken it some. And welcome to black and white--it can be a lot of fun.
I'll give it a shot and see
I love 1 and 3 beautiful.
They're beautiful, skornfeld!
