Neck strap/sling for a HEAVY camera.

Well, I've just acquired a Bronica ETRSi outfit, the body "box", the auto exposure prism AE II, 50mm, 75mm, 150mm lenses, two film backs, the Polaroid back, and the "motor" drive. Love the big negative! But...the camera with prism, a lens, and the motor mounted weighs just over FIVE POUNDS! And I thought my Pentax 645n was heavy....

Any suggestions for a neck strap which will keep me from becoming the hunchback of Jonesboro, Georgia?? I use a Black Rapid with my Pentax K 5 with battery pack, but I don't know whether the tripod socket on the Bronnie's motor drive could handle the weight.

Looks like Dirtpusher has answered your request with so many to select from. I see something I'm considering to purchase. The padded neck on the strap is your best option though. Good luck.

I'm sure it's fine. It is strong enough to hold an unbalanced load like the 150mm and the body, with 98% of the weight in front of it. When you hang the camera upside down at least the weight is balanced as the camera will hang at an angle.

I carry a D800 and a 150-600 Sigma Sport which weighs 8 1/4 lbs, for hours at a time on a Black Rapid sling.

I also use a Cotton Carrier chest harness when hiking with that combo - which also works well.

I also have black rapids, mine is the original with storage in the padded shoulder, and yes, it will hold your camera but the weight on your shoulder from your camera would be too much for me. When I shot weddings with my Hasselblad in never used any strap of any kind, same with my Nikon's cause the strap always got in my way. Good luck with your body building camera.

Why would want a Bronica when you have the best in the business Pentax 645N ??

I almost never use straps for "carrying" - too dangerous - but I do use them for tethering.

I have been very happy with my Peak Design "Slide". http://kphs.us/2i2gF3S Two points of contact, easy removal and heavy duty support make it perfect for my Nikon system,

I use OpTech Pro Loop straps on everything, including my Mamiya 645. Since I've never had the Bronica my first concern would be the total weight. Perhaps you could contact OpTech or B&H. Not a fan of straps that use the tripod socket as I'm never sure if it was designed for that type of load. My best guess is that answer would vary by camera body. Best of luck!
