I know most of the street photographs here are B&W, but I'm not sure if the Ice sculpture and Hot coffee neon sign juxtaposition would work in B&W in this pic.

That one sure works nice in color!
I'm thinking almost any ice sculpture would be better in color. They do a lot of that stuff down south of me in Fairbanks, but up here it's mostly snow sculptures. We don't have pure water that freezes deep enough. Fairbanks started doing ice sculptures about 40 years ago, and at first they were actually importing ice! Then they discovered that several gravel pits around the area had enough arsenic in the water that nothing would grow, and those ponds were freezing 6 to 8 feet deep! The best ice in the world for sculpturing right there in their backyards. Their ice sparkles, and any color around is caught.

This looks one big piece of work. Our neighbor town, St Paul, has a Winter Carnival that features sometimes lots of ice sculptures and an Ice Palace. But this one puts all I have seen to shame. Kudos to the sculpturers.

No rule says you have to use b.w. I like your shot a lot. The warm and cold colors make it work.

Thanks! This one was about 4 feet tall and part of a yearly ice festival. We routinely get 50-75 or so sculptures every year displayed along our historic downtown Main Street in Hamilton Ohio.
