My kiddie is grown up and on her own. It does work fine for holiday snaps, but I use it mostly for travel, landscape, street, portrait and event photography of which I am the client.

Oh, and don't forget the $8000 M Monochrom for when I want to shoot black and white.

Yes, its expensive, but like watches, exotic cars, designer clothes and plenty of other things that people spend their money on, it is my money to spend and I get great pleasure out of these tools and their use. If you can't afford a Leica or can't justify the expense, then by all means don't buy one.

our poor leicas always seem to be an issue on this site. we, who like them, and can afford them, use them and their lenses. it's really no big deal. these are cameras that folks buy and use and enjoy, either film or digital. i also use a pentax k1 for location images. it is also nice too. just sold a nikon df to a person who wrote and said it was "awsome!". so that's nice also. all are different, all have strengths and weaknesses and no one camera or digital device does it all.

Yup. The guy who bought my Canon 5D3 is thrilled with it as I was before. When I can afford it, I'll get the Canon 5D4 or if they release one, a 6D2, but for about 90% of what I like to shoot the Leica is ideal.

Asiafish, wi, yes. It's all about enjoying your gear. Because, if you don't enjoy your gear it will interfere with the (your) creative process.
