Snowy Fountain

During my walk on the campus of St. Mary's College yesterday, I noticed this interesting sight. I'm not sure whether the fountain water is warmer, or the break in the ice is a result of moving water only.

That does make an interesting pattern. Would be fun to see if you could zoom closer and get the up-water vs. the down-snow

Unfortunately I didn't think of it at the time. The lens on my camera was a 55-300mm {and I took this picture at 55mm}, so I could have done it.

Used to live in South Bend and know that fountain. Thanks for bringing back memories and also reminding me why I now live
