I'm new here although i've been reading some of the posts. I'm learning! Got a new Canon Rebel t3i a couple of years ago and have been trying to learn all the tricks and technics used to create some of the great photos I've seen here and else where. I'm retired from The General, hence the user name. I like old cars especially Chevys and like photographing them. I'm just beginning to take pictures of things rather than family gatherings, which becomes rather boring. I inherited my grand fathers old photos and in them there were alot of pictures that tell a story This is one of the things that has inspired me to take photos and I hope to be able to do that also for some one, some day! Also have had a couple of other interests one being digitizing and restoring the sound quality of my old record collection. And the other was working on cars, not any more for that one it's too expensive and I.m getting too old for that. But I do like looking at them. That's it for now.

Welcome. Wife and I went to school down there (Duke - I can hear the boos now).

We love it down there and would love to get down to visit Asheville and the Biltmore estate.
