New to this forum. I am a hobbyist photog, Ballroom dancer and retired IT guy. So digital records are second nature to me. I shoot for the dance studio that I have been associated with for 15 years now. Just recently gained a sponsor for LR & PS subscription. Previously used GIMP with NIK Collection. Shoot Nikon D3100 & loaner D5500. Favorite lens is Nikkor 18-105 mm f3.5-5.0 for dance shots. Posing is a challenge for me as I am used to action. Glad to be here.

Welcome from another St. Louis area member. There are a lot of places to shoot in this area. Here are a few of my favorite places. Forest Park has some great areas to shoot during the day and at night. (Use the buddy system at night.) Clarksville and Alton, IL are great for shooting eagles. Trumpeter Swans are at Riverlands in East Alton this time of year.
