Last week as I was browsing through Shutterbug, I noticed that someone was marketing bookends that were made using old 35mm cameras. Well, I have some old 35mm cameras and some pieces of wood kicking around so I put stuff together and came up with my own version of the bookends. It was a fun little project and shows off some of the photo gear from another time. I often wondered what to do with my aging photo gear and this sure beats sending em to the landfill.

And if you use the tripod mount hole with a 1/4-20 countersunk fastener from the bottom you can change out the cameras as desired.

I like the idea! Got me thinking now. I think I have an idea for my old sneakers which I just haven't been able to part with...

What a great idea. Think I'll go hunting in the attic for some of my old film cameras.
