While searching for information on time-lapse photography along with the "rule of thirds", I stumbled across a link for "Ugly Hedgehog". I just had to check it out. I'm a sucker for any website with "ugly" or "hedgehog" in the address and this one had both!
I just viewed some of the members favorite photos from the last year and I was just astonished how beautiful they are. I couldn't stop staring at them. I hope that with some patience and guidance from you folks I can come close to that kind a composition and quality in my images. So, thanks in advance.
I am a rookie in every sense of the word when it comes to photography. My last DSLR was a Konica Minolta 5D. I loved it until my funny lil' honey tried to force the memory card in the wrong direction while on vacation about 10 years ago. I recently purchased a used Nikon D300 and a new D5500 (BTW, it's pronounced neekon-learned something already...).
Thanks Again,
Chauncy

Thanks to all for the warm welcome. After poking around the site today, no question there's a lot of combined knowledge and experience here. I came across some spirited debates i.e: TC lenses. Nice to see people willing to share their opinions so emphatically.
