to jim bob...

Everyone has to learn at some point... (about most everything). You obviously have no recollection of when you had to learn things... and about all the dumb questions you asked as a learner. Or were you born different than all the rest of us?

I hope you asked Santa for some understanding and patience. Sounds like you need it.

I've been reading about PULSE, the device for running your camera from a remote smart phone. Apparently you can control ISO, shutter speed and time lapse events, etc. remotely. Has anybody used this device and if so how would you rate it? I'm trying to assess if it's worth the $100+to have such a device? Do I really need another gadget? Thanks in advance. Al

If your camera has WiFi or Bluetooth, there are such applications that will work with your cell phone. Some of those applications have problems, so look for reviews on the internet. Some manufactures provide such cell phone applications for free or at a nominal ($10) cost. But $100 seems pretty high.

Jim, I don't think that he asked a dumb question. Fellow members ask this kind of questions all the time and no one showed his/her attitude ever. However, for sure it raises questions about your attitude. My friend may be at the time you replied his question, were not in a good mood. We all members at UHH are like a family and we should respect each other. Sorry if my explanation offend you.

Pulse is an extension that can delay the shutter, or do time intervals, you can also adjust the settings, and it is compatible with IOS Software, and view the picture taken.

It can be bought for less than $100.00, and moved to another camera.

I bought the unit 2 years ago, or so and followed it's development.

It will change shutter speed, ISO, and aperture, for the price and what it does is cheap, at the moment there is nothing out there like it for the price, that I am aware of.

After 35 years of working in the public, I believe Jim Bob is to be pitied. These folks have a poor self image and can only feel like a man if they are pulling someone else down to their level.
Consider the source, feel sorry for him, and move on. And remember, the only stupid question is the one not asked.

I agree that the nasty people should be removed. I've been a member for only a couple of months but the trolls seem to be multipling or more active. If it continues I may have to leave the site as I don't need the negativity I would miss the site but not sure it's worth it.

It is time entitled world we live in,

But a wise man once said if you can help enough people to get what they want, you can have almost anything you want...

People who need to keep whining make a bigger issue than the original comment. Most of the posts on this thread have done nothing but prolong something that would have died out on its own. Take a deep breath. I know is has been terribly traumatic, but get over it and try to enjoy the holidays.
