Agreed, but don't be taken in by those "same folks" in Times Square NYC. Some have a good scam going. Many New Yorkers walk by and drop a dollar bill not even making eye contact with the "homeless". One time, an undercover guy followed a "homeless" man after several hours on the street. The guy walked 5 blocks and got into his BMW.

The problem is you just don't ever know. The con artists out there make it bad for the people that are truly in need.
