An old barn on a misty morning and an enchanted forest

The first is a photo I took at sunrise on a misty morning. It's our neighbor's barn across our pasture. I grabbed the closest camera which was Nikon D5200 with 18-55, hand held.

The second series is of my favorite cypress trees along the Tennessee River. They are softened with a little Orton effect to enhance their eerie appearance. Nikon D810 with Nikkor 200-500, hand held.

The trees are intriguing, but the barn picture is really beautiful. Great shot.

The misty morning is a great shot. Don't get too many opportunities for these kind of shots.

I love the first shot with the early morning light trying to break through the mist. The mist makes everything soft and mysterious. I also like the effect you used on the cypress trees. It adds interest and color excitement to an otherwise bland subject. Very nice work!

How fantastic that you have such an appealing subject just across your pasture. Moments of sun through rising fog are so fleeting; you did a wonderful job of capturing.

Your cypress compositions are fascinating and the pp is intriguing. I bet they'd look pretty cool in b&w too
