I have Photomatix Pro and love it.Go to their website and try a free version. If you like it you can download the full version. Pretty inexpensive too.

Ditto on Photomatix Pro. Try it and you will love it. All the pros use it. Have fun!

I have had & used NIK HDR Efex Pro and liked it better than Photomatix. But I don't like the "cartooney" feel most HDR's produce. Then I found Oloneo HDR Engine online and downloaded it (it too is not at all expensive). It is my HDR of choice now as it produces very realistic images. It has a number of presets which make it easy to choose different end effects.

All the HDR software programs have trial versions. Thy and see what you like. When I tried them I settled on Nik HDR Eflex Pro and have been very satisfied with it. However, that test was several years ago and the market place might have changed. My suggestion is Google it and then try the various ones they show. There are even some free programs out there that once can try. Most are pretty straight forward and easy to use.

There is a free HDR program. If you like more natural, less cooked HDR's, this is a good one. A lttle more tone mapped than photomerge in P.S., but not a lot.

There are both 32 and 64 bit versions, get the 64 bit if you can run it, its a lot faster. I like it, but then I like my HDR's medium rare also.
