Good selection. My favorites from your list are Wes Montgomery, Miles Davis, and Hiroshima. I would include Bob James, Grover Washington Jr. and Benny Goodman (Clarinet). Jazz Singers would be Anita Baker and Sarah Vaughn. My late mother listened to Duke Ellington and Tommy Dorsey.

I've got one of them....Kind of Blue....and I could leave the first CD in my car player (6 cd player) and never take it out. I def. will check out the rest starting with Time Out.

Note: Good to see Diana Krall on the Tony Bennett special. What a talent.

Thanks for looking mas.
I have a number of Bob James and Fourplay albums, he is very smooth. I saw Fourplay at the Berks Jazz Fest in Reading, Pa. not long before I retired and moved to Florida. Benny Goodman was my father's favorite and I have a couple of albums by him.

Thanks for looking Steve.
Time Out was the first jazz album I ever bought and I still love it. I think the song Take Five is one of the best songs ever written, I still get goose bumps when Paul Desmond come in on the sax.

Thanks for looking viscountdriver. Back in the late 1970s or early 1980s Ella Fitzgerald gave a free concert in Point Park in Pittsburgh that I was lucky enough to attend.

Great lists Mac and Lamiaceae. Own quite a few on your list and I agree about Take Five! Just thought I'd add Earl Klugh, Paul Hardcastle, and Keiko Matsui to the mix. When I was much younger, one of my favorite groups to listen to was the pole winners #3 but I've forgotten the names. Great thread Mac.

Like your list. I would add Earl Klugh, especially "Midnight in San Juan".
