Thanks John. I like your Taft quotation. I'm the Quality Manager at work. I use that quote a lot.

Good for you. I use it because I'm an ld composition teacher, and it rings so true.

You don't realize that Northern Ireland really is emerald green until you see it. Lovely shots - I enjoyed the area myself some years ago.

All are very nice shots with good eye appeal. They give a good sense of the area. The shot showing people at the water's edge gives a good sense of distance and perspective. Your handling the many shades of green is well done.

Thanks Nosaj. I appreciate your comments. I go to Ireland nearly every year, but this was my first trip to Antrim. It is gorgeous and deserves to be better known.

A truly gorgeous set of photos. My favorite is the 4th one. I just like that beautiful green moss and the water.

Thanks Tom. The moss covered rocks echoed by the puffy clouds is my favorite too. Glad somebody else appreciated it.

I especially like the composition of #4.

Thanks Dean. I had a tough time climbing across the slippery rocks to get that one, but I think it was worth the effort. Thanks for looking.

Hi Repleo,
Your shots are fantastic ! The colors are so vibrant.
This past summer my wife and I visited the same area. Great to see someone else's take on the unique scenery.
Could you please give some info on equipment used and any pp you may have done.
Thanks,
Tom Iskiyan

Hi Tom.
I only stepped up from a P&S this Spring. I only have one camera – a Sony A6000. I’m pretty sure I took all of these with my Sony 18-105mm f4.0 G OSS but may have used a Sony Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 on a couple. I am still at a beginner level with PP and only used basic adjustment sliders in PS / Camera Raw. I found that using the dehaze slider brings up clouds out of nowhere. It was too windy for a tripod, but for a couple of them I was able to wrap myself around a traffic sign or gate post to steady the shot.

Since you are familiar with the area, you may be interested to look at my other posts of Antrim. Search under ‘Mini Theme: The Giants Causeway’ and ‘Mini Theme: Antrim – Land of Game and Thrones’
Thanks for looking and for your kind comments.
