I wonder how often those home owners have to replace that sign...

#2 #3 are both engaging and interesting for the subject and compositions. Great N'awlins flavors!

I hadn't even gone there, Linda but it's a good point. I'm still laughing.

Thank you for the feedback on the others too. I appreciate the comments. As I was looking at the ornament shot it occurred to me that the building should have been minimized or removed but I was going for the front-on look and that worked.

Thanks again. 👍

Would the people who have to pee take the time to read the sign? Hmm...

Interesting shots!

Only if "willie" is being waved by that gate. Ironically, the French Quarter smelled WAY better than it did the last time we were there. For some reason the mixture of old urine and vomit doesn't make for a pleasant scent, go figure.

Thanks for stopping by Randy and stay tuned, there will be more from Nawlins.

Yea Mike the quarter has smelled like that for years. A guy by the name of Sidney Torres had a waste disposal business and along with his quote to the city he sprayed a sanitized on sidewalks just about every morning. Made a BIG difference.

I was born in New Orleans and now live about 25 miles north.

The Big Easy is it's own place Don and this is not necessarily a bad thing, it just is and it's part of what makes the French Quarter the French Quarter, although you really wouldn't catch me dead there during Mardi Gras. I never thought I would say it but I'm just too long in the tooth for that kind of fun.

Maybe it's just harder for the tourists to wrap their heads around what goes on there. We went for an art auction and had a killer time wandering the streets. We were able to see a couple of wedding parties complete with live music walking down the street. VERY cool to watch. We had gone around the corner to try and catch Lena Prima and her band perform so I didn't bring my camera but ended up getting a CD and taking off. The venue was a really small room in a hotel and it was just too crowded and noisy and that was before the music started.

Do you know the park at the end of St. Louis Street? The name escapes me at the moment but we were very surprised to see an Agam sculpture there. He's an interesting character most noted for his kinetic art and it doesn't hurt that the piece we bought doubled in value from the time we bought it to the time it was shipped.

Where else in the world can you hear live jazz from your hotel room?

Thanks Randy but I think you also have a valid point, who's going to read the sign unless they are facing it. 🙀

Yeah, that could put some hurt on the family jewels. 😂
