This is a sale for the very classic Pentax 50mm SMC Takumar f1.4 ( first version) #6229691 in Pentax m42 screw mount. Comes with OEM front and rear caps.

CONDITION: Is excellent condition with no cosmetic or functional issues - cleaned and tested by me. Smooth focus and snappy diaphram. Glass is clean and clear with one very tiny speck (debris) inside.

$65 includes shipping to lower 48 U.S. only. PayPal preferred.

I think I have this lens plus a lot more screw mounts. I've been a Pentax user since the '60's. Screw mounts until they finally switched to bayonet mounts. Man, it took them forever to convert. I have a complete inventory of Heiland, Asahi, Pentax, Pentax Pentax, etc, cameras. Their saving grace was that their glass was as good as Nikon (Canon wasn't even around at the time) but was a whole lot cheaper.

Yes, My first camera was a Spotmatic in 1969 with the 85 1.9 - so been using Pentax for a L-O-N-G time now also !

Not to be argumentative but rather to just be informative..... Your Pentax lens is not correctly identified as an "SMC" lens because a later Pentax model was called and marked SMC . Your lens correct ID is "Super-Multi-Coated Takumar". A still earlier version was the "Super-Takumar"

I don't care how you label it or how it is marked - SMC = Super-Multi-Coated - and that is also why I said this is the first version - I am LAZY and do not want to spell/type out "Super-Multi-=Coated" ! - But there, now I have done it TWICE !
