Hi everyone. New to the forum, but not to photography. Finally upgraded about 6 months ago to a somewhat serious digital camera(Panasonic DCM-FZ1000) after frustration with slow focus on my previous basic Canon digital camera. Lost too many shots of my granddaughters.Slowly learning this camera and hope to learn and be inspired by this forum. 35 years ago I did some B & W and Cibachrome in my home darkroom, but got away from it.

Welcome to the forum. I am totally unfamiliar with today's offerings from Panasonic but I've owned Panasonic products in the past and they were always well made and worked...

The Leica Lens and many reviews sold me on trying the Panasonic. 6 months in and it has done fine, zero issues. I have a lot to learn on it.
I love seeing my results NOW and not having to wait days for developing.
