****12/22/2016 UPDATE: I removed one of the original pictures and added some better pictures of this lens****
I am new on the site and I just posted my intro and was excited about getting to know this Nikon 300mm lens a lot more than I have thus far. But, with some personal issues coming up in which I need the cash more than the lens, I sadly have to put it back on the market. So I am looking to see if there is any interest on my Nikon 300mm f/4 AF lens that is in pristine condition. I would rate this lens at a 9+ for sure. I bought this lens with the hopes of using it more out in nature, but the majority of my time I am OK with my Sigma 18-250 and am looking to get a new home for the 300. It's an amazing lens and super sharp! If you are looking for that long range fixed zoom at a budget price, this is the lens for you. You can also use a teleconverter but I have never tried using one.
I don't have the original boxes or the "sock" cover but what I do have is a lens cap, a Sigma rear cap, and Sigma padded case. To some people, the box is super important as well as having the "Nikon" brand caps. Looking to just basically break even with what I paid. I prefer to use the Cash App by Square, but if you are more comfortable with PayPal, that is also fine. My loss, your gain basically. I would ship this via USPS Priority unless you are someone who MUST have FedEx or UPS services. The price includes shipping and insurance and I would make sure that there is plenty of padding in the box. You know how things get tossed around this time of year!
$375 is all I'm asking for this incredible lens! The first picture I took with my iPhone but hopefully the others are better.
Just wondering what city you live in (if comfortable giving this info) I will be doing some traveling soon and wondering if you might be within range as I am interested in the lens.
Scott
This is a super sharp lens and teleconverters work very well on it.
Hi Scott...I am in the Harrisburg/York PA area
What tele-converter can we use with this lens ?

This is a photo I took handheld with a D80, the 300mm f4.0 AF lens and a promaster 1.7 auto teleconverter, wide open, which is not the best teleconvters out there but kept the auto focus when using it when no other one was on the market (the lens flaws you see in the photo are from the promaster, not the 300mm f4.0 AF lens). It is also partially cropped. It was shot at a high ISO and worked in old software; either lightroom 2 or 3. So take all that into consideration. Even with all that, it is still a sharp lens. Photo was taken from just towards the outfield from third base in the foul territory.
Changed the title to include "For Sale" and also knocked off 50 bucks on the price and lowered it to $375!

Hi Jim...not sure if you check your PM's or not, but I sent you a few. Let me know if you are still interested. After numerous, "Hey I'm interested" people reaching out to me and then not buying, it's all yours if you still want it
