I asked because what we call 'snowballs' are a form of hydrangea and do not grow along branches as those do in the photo, so I was wondering if there was another name
for the flowers in the picture?

Thank you for the link to the info on the difference between the two. Mine is growing in Zone 4, and it survives the below zero temps in the winter,
but is lucky to survive the deer in the spring when they 'prune' the bush down to the woodier stems. Your picture is really beautiful.
