I thought so too at first except it looks like it's reflecting in places it shouldn't. Places with no water.

I'm not sure where you're referring to. Everything below the grass is water.

I'm referring to the green and yellow pond scum floating on top of the water. Other objects in the image do not appear to be reflecting in those areas. Cetainly not to the extent that tree line may be.
But I guess I could be wrong.

LOL! Well, so could I! :O)

I just downloaded it onto my computer so I could see it more clearly and it definitely is a tree reflection. (Not to try to be "right", but just so she knows it's nothing wrong with her camera.) :O)

There's another running at a right angle to it near the tall weeds...It's NOT a reflection. And pond scum can't reflect...

At that junction it runs both right and left all the way across the picture.

Lines across photo's or over exposure Is due to the shutter not closing correctly. Common cause for this is moisture fouling the shutter leafs. It only has to be a very tiny amount to cause an obstruction. If you turn on your camera and turn the flash off face the lens towards you and look at the lens in the middle you should be able to see the shutter fire across the lens when you take a picture. I know its small but you should be able to spot if there is a gap ( may not be very big) where the shutter leafs meet. What you need to do is remove the lens unit from the camera, dis engage the zoom motor ( the motor nearest the front lens) then remove the main lens to access the zoom lens and remove that as well. Behind it is the shutter. Undo the screws for the retaining plate, remove the plate, and then remove the shutter leafs for cleaning with lens cleaner or anything that will clean without leaving a residue. And remember not to touch the leafs after cleaning, use tweezers.

Found this on the web if it helps....

The line is running up and down the center of the photo. It almost looks like a crease in the photo. Or the centerline of a book. Is that the line you are speaking of Carol?

Upon closer inspection, there is a cross pattern on the photo. It runs north and south down the dead center, and east to west just below where the birds reflection is. I'm not sure what would put a cross in the center of a photo.
