One thing....I would crop out the crowd just to the right of the lady in the front row of the three ladies....you have it blurred out just fine but, my eye keeps getting drawn to that side of the photo, and with them cropped out it stays on the two b-ball players.....jmo tho, Tom...

Good use of DOF to isolate key player at his decisive moment... Your timing is absolutely spot on!
Albeit agree with the above... Elimination of distractions is paramount in capturing sporting events effectively...
Likely far more challenging all others elements combined at least in my humble estimation...
Would you be so kind as to consider sharing your shooting data for the benefit of others? i.e. aperture; shutter speed and ISO?
Was this in burst mode a.k.a. continuous high speed release?
