Anyone have a recommendation for a free program or present to allow processing an image to a comic book or slightly comic book look? Or do you know of a way to do it in Photoshop?

Topaz Labs Simplify for one. There ae others out there, you can do it in Photoshop. Maybe someone out there will know of a free one available for you.

Try G'mic a free stand alone program or plugin. Designed for GIMP but may well work as a plugin for Photoshop. Some member may know if it works with PS.
Download from here: http://gmic.eu/ You'll find the Comic Book feature under Artistic. There are many settings, which allow considerable creativity.
