Hi everyone, I'm a newcomer here, but I've been carefully reading nearly all the posts in this section for nearly 2 months. Question: is anybody familiar with Hejnar Photo gear? Is it realy as good as described in some posts? Your opinions would be welcome.

Thanks,

Alexei

I've had several interactions with him. He is a pleasure to deal with, has well designed and built products, and doesn't seek to retire on the profit he makes by selling each piece. My most recent purchase was an Arca-Swiss clamp that I attached to a Manfrotto plate, so I could have Arca compatibility on my Manfrotto 393 - I have no problem trusting it to secure my 600mmF4 and D800. I've been using it for about 5 yrs.

I bought the A/S adapter for my Manfrotto geared head. It's great!

I purchased a conversion package for a Manfrotto 222 pistol grip head. This package replaced the quick release plate to a arca swiss compatible plate. It is a quality product at a good price and was shipped promptly. I would certainly purchase another product from him if needed.

Many thanks for Your opinion. Now I'm fully convinced that I'll order the required gear from this manufacturer.

I purchased an "L" bracket for my Nikon D300. It was machined in several sections and assembled with countersunk capscrews. It fit the camera properly, centered the lens both for horizontal and vertical images, and was less expensive than those from Kirk or RRS. I would recommend these products as a good value for the money.

Hope the foot will be one of the best available, but my understanding is it's good for the previous version of Nikkor 70 - 200 , but not for the latest iteration introduced a couple of months ago?

I have a monopod with a Manfrotto 393 Gimbal affixed. The 393 has its own unique mounting bracket fitted but I wanted to use a standard Acca Swiss plate, as my bigger lens all have them fitted.
The conversion was ordered and delivered promptly (to the UK). A really well machined piece of engineering. Along with replacement Allen screws / key etc.
Based on my experience I would mark him up as 100% worthwhile.
