I recently purchased a Nikon D5500 to get back in to photography. My main shooting interest is landscape, but I've been toying with the idea of street photography. I also enjoy riding the Harley to discover new places. I love the outdoors, (not so much in our long winters here). Also, I have dabbled in stop motion animation. I'm looking forward to learning and sharing on this forum, and fine tuning my photography skills. My wife and I our headed to the Adirondacks early tomorrow to practice our craft. Will share some pics if any are decent.

Welcome to UHH! I thought Syracuse was Central, NY. My daughter lives in Baldwinsville.

Welcome to the forum, Dave! I, too, am a former NY'er growing up in the Albany area and spent the final 25 years in Saranac Lake. You should have no problem finding beautiful landscapes to photograph on your trip to the Aditondacks. Hope you're not planning on riding the Harley up there!

Hi Dave I'm also from Syracuse, now in Jacksonville. I'm sure you'll have lots of photo ops in NY. Maybe you can get some snow covered landscapes. I wonder how the color of "Green Lakes State Park's" deep water would look ringed with snow. Or some Erie Canal snowscapes. Maybe some fresh snow before the waters freeze? Looking forward to your images. Bob.
