Someone asked if any of use had tried shooting a dancer in motion. Sadly my rebel and kit lens produced a lot of noise. Shot with continuous lighting.

You should try with strobes

This young lady danced for approx 15 mins without stopping for more than a few secs.
As I recall lighting was one Alien Bee B400 in a 30X60 softbox with a diffusion panel in place Stage left and another bounced off a 50" gold reflector stage right, I'M sorry I don't remember the power settings anymore.
