Butterfly and bees photo bombed by an ant.
Ant climbed onto the bees head just before he took off. I guess he will have a long walk home ?
Thanks Douglas, I am not familiar with Hover flies, will look them up.
Thanks for the link Douglas, I looked them up it seems the hover fly has the large black smooth skin on its back behind the head the bees look to be more hairy and the stripe pattern is different.

Nice captures! Thanks for sharing them.
Very interesting information, thanks. I saw a yellow black striped hoverfly recently that mimicked a wasp.
Absolutely stunning images in every way, Yvonne. Just beautiful!
Thanks Donna, Just as well Douglas is on the ball or i never would have known what a hover fly was. UHH is a classroom of information on many subjects. I have never been to USA but thanks to UHH I have seen some of your great country and others around the world. Have a happy and safe Christmas.

I didn't know it was a hover fly either, Yvonne. It looked like a honey bee to me.
I hope you and your family have a happy and safe Christmas as well...and I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful posts in the upcoming new year!
Very well done images, evenic!
