Lenovo had FANTASTIC pricing on their "mobile workstations" just before Thanksgiving. I would suggest checking out their site. I've always been happy with IBM and then Lenovo notebooks.

Does anyone have experience with this laptop. It is a gaming laptop, 17", with 16 ram. I am thinking about buying, but would like your opinions first. Thanks in advance.

Yes...nothing but problems. It's what finally drove me to spend twice as much on a macbook pro...so I guess I should actually thank that piece of crap.

My main computer now is a HP dv 7 with a dual boot of win 7 ultimate and Linux Mint 17. Love Linux. I also love the fact that HP has dual harddrive cappability with the dv7 line. They are considered entertainment PC's, are 17" have good screen res and allow me to run either windows or Linux depending n what programs I need. But truth be told, I rarely boot windows, Linux works much better for me. These HPs have been workhorses for me, I have never had any luck with Dell, and I can't stand Apple's proprietary nonsense.
