Magnificent Hawk

As some regular UHH's know I work a couple of days at a golf course. As always I have one of my Nikon's handy just in case. Late this afternoon a beautiful hawk landed in a low branch and allowed me to get up close for a few shots. Still not sure which one I like the best! These were shot with a D500 and a 70-200 2.8. Hard to describe how thrilled I was that he let me get so close. Very lucky and another example of why you should always have a camera close by. Hope you enjoy!!

Superb set. Favor #3 for the framing with a closer crop that makes the subject standout more and the illuminating sidelight.

For me, I seem to prefer when the bird is looking at you, like #1. Just seems like there is more going on in the photo. All nice shots though. Lucky you and good message about having your camera with you.
