I have a Nikon D 7000 with many lenses but the only lens type permitted in the stadium are those which are not interchangeable. Also,no lens longer than 3.5 inches long is acceptable I'd like to rent a camera where I could get some quality images given those guidelines. Any suggestions would be most appreciative.

Since you will be in a stadium - do you want some zoom? Here are some little guys I like that have some great zoom.
1. The Sony HX80, I own it, it takes amazing pictures, it is very little - the lens totally zoomed out is only 2 inches, it has 30X ZOOM, and EVF - in case it is bright.
2. Canon SX720, I own it, it takes amazing pictures 2, 40x zoom!! but no evf.
3. Lumix zs100, I do not own this camera... but it sounds interesting because it has 10X zoom with a 1 inch sensor and a 2.8-5.9 lens! Pretty amazing, but I have not used it.

3.5 inches. That isn't very much. My backup Nikon Bridge camera exceeds that. You may have to purchase a pocket camera. There are many that qualify. I'll let others make the recommendation. Good luck.

Been to the Rose Bowl many times. I think you might want to rent either the Canon SX60, or even better the Nikon P900.

Try sitting where the broadcast booths are otherwise you won't see any of the action. Don't know what you will do with the photos but there are so many wires and people blocking your shots. Just go and enjoy the parade or buy tickets for the early previews.

Canon Powershot G3X. Great camera (also has a lens range of 24mm-600mm), great photos. Read about it here:

To tell you the truth, the only quality photos that you will be able to get if you are in the stands is to take landscape shots of the stadium and field or photos of the people around you. If you are wanting to get shots of the players, you really need to get field access. Your camera phone would be enough for the most part. Enjoy the experience and the game.
