My niece just upgraded to a D750 and would like to find a good home for her D300.
The D300 went out of production from Nikon in 2009. Although highly regarded, this 12MP semi-professional body won't demand much in residual value vs the original purchase price. Go through the 'get a quote' dialog from KEH if there's not interest here or on ebay.
Posting a price and a fuller description of the condition, shutter count, etc. would help sell the D300. And certainly photos would really help.
I picked up two D300 bodies this year. One was $250 and the other $299. The second one was a little newer model. One I gave to my son so he could upgrade his D100. The other I use as a backup to my D800e. Although the D300 has been discontinued it will still fit many people.

Of a couple of days ago the price probably dropped significantly. Just read somewhere that Nikon took the D300 off their repairable cameras.
Here is her reply: " The camera had 59,158 shutter actuations. I have attached two photos of the camera. I think that it is in good shape, there is a wear on the Delete Button but no other damage or signs of wear. I would like $300 for the camera, charger, and two batteries. I think that is pretty much in-line with what I am seeing out there. The KEH site said they would pay $200 but sell for $340-ish not considering that I have an extra battery. I thought that I had the original box but I cannot lay my hands on it but I do have the manual and quick guide."
Am trying to figure out how to post the pictures....the camera looks good. Ken
Shoot a picture while holding the camera up to a mirror.

I have a D300 and still use it. It is a workhorse and a takes quality photos. I will get a new camera someday but for now I am happy with this old camera.

Here is a good use for a D300. There are cheaper upgrades for infrared, but I would only use this service.
https://www.lifepixel.com/tutorials/wall-of-shameAfter you see this video you will want this company to do the conversion. A lot of people used the D200 for conversion to IR, but the D300 is an even better choice.
