Here's a picture of my second 35mm Camera purchased new in 1979 at the Lucky Plaza in Singapore. I never use it anymore but can't seem to part with it.
Canon AE-1
Quite right too Jason, I won't part with mine either, possibly the best camera I have ever owned.

I would love to have a 5DS!
I still have mine from say 1975, even bought a a-1 used around 2004. last have out for a spin about 5 yrs ago.picked up a few primo frd lenses that I now use on my Sony alphas.
Nice. I bought one in 1977. It was my first camera. Learned a lot using it. I loaned it to a friend. Big mistake. Sigh. No desire to use one. Just to look at it, heft it, and perhaps, caress it. First role of film was black and white ASA 400. That set the course.
I had an A1, I loved it, unfortunately it was stolen. I sure wish I still had it.

I still have my FTBn (1976) and my A-1 (1979). And lenses (the 50mm f1.4 is a great one), and speedlight, and macro flash, cases, boxes, etc.

I had one too that I bought a few years later maybe '78 or '79; it was a great camera. I last used it in about 2008 and traded it in to B & H on my Canon 60D. I think they allowed $160 on it which may have been a bit low, but was probably a bit over 50% of what I paid new. I like the features on the DLSR and don't miss it at all
Ah, nothing quite that old, but have my EOS Elan IIe with the Eye Control Auto Focus, but with me now wearing glasses, doesn't seem to work so well. Oh well, as has been mentioned, just can't seem to part with it. There are a couple of lenses that I own that I can use on a digital system, so am definitely keeping those, and took a lot of pictures with it. Was my first serious camera into photography.
I had an AE-1 stolen. So when I saw one at an antique store, I bought it! Came with a 50 lens. Does anyone know what battery it takes?
My film camera inventory:
Ae1, Retina and Argus C3.
Buy a roll of Ilford BW film and see what you can get. It my surprise you.
