Purchased from Samy's camera in 2014. Shutter count 37648. It's a wonderful camera with touch screen. Sensor needs cleaning because I see spots on photos at times..Comes with
Camera with cap, original strap new. Charger and 2 batteries along with original boxes and all software.

Spots on mirror do not affect images. Perhaps you mean sensor?

Interesting post. I just bought a Tamron 16 to 300 lens yesterday to mount on my SL1. Been switching lenses and decided to go with one instead. It's heavier, but I think it will work out fine for traveling.

Any advice about the lens or camera.

Bought the SL1 in March of 14 and I'm still learning about it. Been happy with it overall.

I love the convenience of the tamron lens along with the SL1. Good for all kinds of photography. Remember to when not using to lock lens so it won't creep mine never does but good idea. I often forgot to put IS on.

For those interested, a new SL1 costs about $400 and a new Tamron 16-300 costs about $500 based on prices posted in the December 2016 issue of "PhotoPlus the Canon Magazine"

The lens cost $630 with a $130 instant rebate. Can then send in for another $25.00. I traded in my other two canon kit lenses, then added a clear protection filter and a polarizing filter. Also purchased a 50 mm f 1.8 lens recently. Seems to be a good combination for what I do.

I have an acquaintance who uses an SL1 and has submitted and sold a number of photos at a charity display. Not sure what lens, but it was probably his kit lens that came with the camera. It will make a nice second camera for someone who wants something lighter than other Can DSLRs.

Yes it takes great pic's If I didn't have the 6D I would keep it. But need a camera for Birding.. Trouble is people want you to practically give away. Would make a fine X Mas gift.. Thanks for your help.
