Whaaaa? Olympus has many lens choices, Panasonic lenses also work on Olympus, and there are many aftermarket lenses as well.

A few members have asked me to let them know which camera I up-graded to.

After selling my old Canon XSI and a couple of lenses to KEH, My replacement choices were,Olympus OMD, Sony a6000 and Canon T6i.
I've owned Olympus before and love the size and quality construction, The Sony a6000 too is a feature loaded camera, but both Sony and
Olympus lack the lens choices. Since being a Canon guy, I decided on the Canon T6i with two kit lenses, which I received yesterday.

Enjoy!

Just curious, did you know there are over 85 Micro 4/3 lenses currently available for Olympus and Panasonic cameras?

Burkphoto,

Yes I know, but I like to buy referbs or used from KEH, Ebay, Anazon and others, and there are more choices there.
Besides, at 83 my buying day's I hope are over. I've got the camera and lenses I want, and I'll be happy if they last me another 5-10 years.
Appreciate you response,

Captain Al

Camerapapi,

What I was referring to is the fact that aside from Canon, Tamron, Rokanar, Sigma and other after market manufactures make a lot more lenses for Canon then
the other cameras you've mentioned.Plus the used market is vast. It was a real chore for me to decide between Canon & Olympus. I have owned several Olympus
cameras in the past and I loved each one of them.
However, I chose Canon because I was knowledgeable with their system. At 83 years old I didn't want to, or maybe not able to learn a new system. Very much appreciate your comments.

Ah, Captain Al, your about the same age as my wife and my younger brother. Enjoy your new gear. I also have Canon and if I decide to do any upgrades it will still be Canon.

I bought one of my best zooms from KEH. It was spotless and saved me hundreds.

This applies not only to Canon but to all cameras. I know a lady who purchased a Canon DSLR. It quit working but she liked the camera so she bought another. It quit also. She admitted to having used the camera at beaches which I have heard advised against. Is this common and if so, why?
