What once was an innocent shot of freshly-picked jalapeño peppers from my garden, is now transformed into something absurdly different.

Really nice. I rarely like this sort of thing, but this would look great in the right frame on the right wall...

Interesting effect. Very colorful. Don't know if it is my cup of tea exactly; but it is a really good effort and shows real creativity and imagination. Well done.

Thank you, cosmo54. I wanted to see how far I can push the effects processing and still retain some level of recognizable tangibleness of the elements within the original image, as opposed to achieving full-out abstraction.

This has a strange attraction and deserves more than a casual glance. One gets the impression it would be very impressive blown up and printed big. It appears not desperate to be taken as artistic but content to be colorful cute and fun. The tongue in cheek approach by the creator of this accepting it for what it is could possibly be the reason why it works so well.

I think it could fit well on the wall in a home furnished in post-modernism. In my home it would certainly look out of place.

This image is an excursion outside of my comfort zone and my usual style. I know some folks are much better at this type of thing, but I'm not entirely dissatisfied with the final results.

You are absolutely correct, Billy - this image is far from being a serious artistic statement and it doesn't pretend to be, further embellished with a silly title to match. Perhaps best described as kitschy pop art decor.

Took,
I find your image imaginative and well conceived and well constructed.
The melted cheese covering the jalapeños has absorbed the capsaicin-rich content of the peppers ...turning red-orange...as well as having picked up the pattern of the table surface...and passing it back to the table as it drips off the pepper stems

As a lover of Mexican foods ...predominantly for the flavor of jalapeños and capsaicin-imbued cheeses...I'd hang this in a heartbeat!

Dave, thanks so much for your very poetic, spicy interpretation!

Made my mouth water just looking at it. Very successful experiment, IMO.

My first thought was hang it in a dentists office so it's creative bluster could be contemplated taking ones mind off what was about to happen to them.

Then, I thought how about a lawyers office where the artsy fartsy expensive look would say wow, this lawyer has expensive taste and must be really successful.

Then, my imagination ran into a wall of it's own...

I think with the right frame, you could sell it to someone with the right wall, if the price were high enough...

I'm not so sure about hanging it in a dentists office. Can you imagine looking at that while suffering from intense toothache? I certainly wouldn't want what would appear to be a visual representation of my pain while I wait my turn to see the dentist.
