I just purchased the basic walkstool & find it very unsteady when I sit on it.I bought it so I could put it in the low position & get closer to my flowers when using my macro lens.I have fallen off it twice so can't use it in low position. I only weigh 125lbs.so I know it's not my weight.I purchased it on eBay & seller says I can't return it so I am stuck with it.Do any of you have any suggestions as to how I can reinforce the legs? Any help would be appreciated.

Can you post a picture of it from a couple angles so we know exactly what you have? Also maybe get some one to take a picture with you on it(just need the part where your sitting and the legs).

Your weight is not important. What is important is the center of balance, and when in the "low position" the center of balance is just above ground level. They are not very stabile when in that position. Raise the legs to get better stability.

It doesn't matter what the seller says. Open a paypal claim and tell them you weigh 125 and have fallen off the stool twice. They will probably refund your money. A couple of years ago my wife bought a pair of Clarke's $100 walking shoes that were advertised as comfortable. On her first walk she got blisters on her feet. The vendor offered a $20 coupon and wouldn't take them back because they had been worn. I opened up a paypal claim and got all our money back based on the fact they were not comfortable as advertised, and didn't even have to return the shoes. Paypal is on the customer's side.

I went to a farmers auction and bought a very old wooden milking stool. Three legs. Works great, I believe what you need is GIA Gray 24" Counter Height Square Backless Industrial Metal Stool.

I have two suggestions for you. I have a adjustable height four leg stool, light weight, used for handicapped people taking showers. Water doesn't affect it, its light weight, and can be rinsed off outside with a water hose and left to dry outside. Or, use a handicapped walker chair on wheels. Both are available at any medical equipment facility. I bought both of mine from estate sales from those who have no further use for them. Leon

thank you all for your suggestions.I just keep looking at this darn stool & wish I could just find some type of rubber reinforcements for the bottom of the legs that will grip the ground more.I will keep looking for sure!

The Walkstool is not designed to be used with the legs in. You must extend the legs to use it. If not, then the legs are to close together for it to be stable to sit on. It's a basic tri-leg chair. They must be spread apart to be stable.

Oh I know that but in the low position they aren't steady at all.In their advertisements they show people sitting on the stool when it's in the low position,all lies,very unsafe.I guess I will do like someone suggested & look for an old milking stool,would be exactly what I am looking for!

I have a 5 gal bucket with a padded bar stool seat for a lid with kitty litter inside for use in my shop. kitty litter soaks up oil spills and the bar stool seat was one of those cheap ones the dollar stores sell with a few screws not all the way in underneath to keep it centered on the bucket. For a little lower an old fashioned milk crate.

Well since I am stuck with this unsafe stool I was hoping I could find something to put on the rubber tips of the three legs to make it a little more sturdy.There has to be something out there I just haven't found it yet,lol!!!!
